Captain Jack Sparrow

This piece is quite stunning! Gorgeous values, lovely texture, and beautifully accurate! I really appreciate the deep, provoking blacks that frame his face...They add so much depth and interest to the work. The texture achieved on the hat and facial hair is quite masterful, particularly for a medium such as charcoal. Over all, this is a wonderful portrait, even if it isn't an original concept. The shading underneath his left eye seems a little off. Perhaps too dark? It seems to me as though he has a black eye <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/let…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Lick)"/> ...Not that that would surprise me, considering the character. Also, you might fuzz out his hand a bit (not too much) as to draw more attention to his face and away from the fingernail. Wonderful work!
